Prizes

The main idea of the Competition is to promote talented pianists. The aim is to provide assistance in developing individual careers. The organizers decided to found the prizes in the form of paid recitals as well as symphonic concerts in Polish philharmonics and other concert halls in Europe, which will give the total amount of 40.000 euro. All future performances are to take place in artistic seasons 2008/2009 and 2009/2010.

The jury will eventually select six winners and will decide on the number of the concerts for each winner. The amount of points obtained by each winner will serve as a deciding factor. The detailed list of all the recitals and concerts is available at the Competition’s website.

In addition, there are cash-prizes to be expected as well as Grand Prix of the Competition – the Schimmel grand piano (160 cm). The full list of the prizes will be announced up to 10 May 2008.

 

The list of the recitals and concerts with orchestra (paid) in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 artistic season

  • Grand Prix – Grand Piano Vogel – Schimmel V-177
  • 2-year management contract with Ponte Art. Production including at least 10 concerts in Poland and Europe and the promotion of the artist. The prize is funded by Dr Przemyslaw Kieliszewski, the President of Ponte Art Production.
  • Halina Czerny – Stefanska Prize in the amount of 1000 euro funded by the daughter, Prof. Elzbieta Stefanska.
  • The prize for the best rendition of Fryderyk Chopin’s etude funded by Georgy Ferencz Fundation in Budapest which includes the series of concerts in Budapest and the notes of Hungarian composers, CDs and DVDs.
  • The Prize for the best polish pianist of the Competition as the CD recording in the Witold Lutoslawsky Studio 1 in Warsaw. This prize is funded by Polish Radio Program 2- Media patron of the Competition, Magdalena and Piotr Kardach, Ponte Art Production as well.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra in Tadeusz Szeligowski Philharmonic in Poznan in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra in Tadeusz Baird Philharmonic in Zielona Góra in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra Mieczyslaw Karlowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra in Fryderyk Chopin Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra Podlaska Philharmonic and Opera in Bialystok in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra Stanislaw Moniuszko Philharmonic in Koszalin in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra Artur Malawski Philharmonic in Rzeszow in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra Dolnoslaska Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra in the artistic year 2008/09.
  • The concert with symphonic orchestra Philharmonic in Kalisz in the artistic year 2008/09.

  • Symphony concert during the inauguration ceremony of the 90th Anniversary of the Academy on 16 January 2010 for the best participant from Poznań funded by the President of Poznań Academy of Music

  • A recital at Peter Czajkowski Conservatoire Hall in Moscow on 28 September 2008.
